Cardano ($ADA) has seen its social activity surge to a new all-time high after the network successfully completed its Vasil hard fork, which brought to the network faster block creation, and upgrades Plutus smart contracts for increased efficiency while allowing decentralized applications to deploy and run at lower costs.

Hoskinson, the Cardano co-creator, says in a tweet that there are hundreds of projects announcing they will advance using ADA's new capabilities become available to developers next week.

The Cardano Vasil hard fork had been expected for months, and finally, it is a reality. The hard fork had proceeded according to schedule, and by Thursday, September 22nd, the hard fork was live on the network.
