The community of the Dash crypto claims that it is not a security

The SEC in recent days has swept through the crypto market highlighting how many tokens that are listed on Coinbase and Binance fall under the classification of “security,” including DASH.

After experiencing a disruption while attempting to upgrade the Dash blockchain, the network has now resumed block production. As of the time of writing, 552 blocks have been confirmed since the incident. Despite the onchain resolution provided by Dash Core 19.1.0, individuals have expressed complaints regarding mining on a different chain.

The implementation of the Dash Core v19 hard fork has been delayed to June 14. The hard fork intended to improve the security of the Dash network with BLS signatures and ensure high-performance masternode implementation.

Multiple sources have reported that the Dash blockchain came to a standstill at block height 1,874,879 following an attempted upgrade to version 19 by the developers. As of now, data indicates that the most recent block verified on the network was over 16 hours ago.

The Dash blockchain has experienced a multi-hour outage and the network is now waiting for node operators to upgrade their software. Samuel Westrich, CTO of Dash Core Group, said on May 21 that the network experienced a problem while activating v19 of Dash Core.
