Privacy coin Dash challenges SEC's labeling of it as a security

The Dash community has hit back at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after the regulator included the privacy-focused cryptocurrency in a list of six altcoins it accused of being securities.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a court complaint against Bittrex, alleging the platform made numerous crypto assets available for trading without registration, including OmiseGO (OMG), Dash (DASH), Algorand (ALGO), TokenCard (TKN), NAGA Coin (NGC), and i-House Token (IHT).

Investors moved $508 billion into cash in the first three months of this year, the largest quarterly inflow since market turmoil early in the COVID-19 pandemic, according to BofA Global Research, as the failure of several banks sent markets spinning.

Over the past 90 days, the top privacy coins by market capitalization have seen an increase of just over $2 billion, rising from $4.65 billion on Nov. 9, 2022 to $6.69 billion today.

Dash (CRYPTO: DASH) surged over 15.64% on Wednesday, topping CoinMarketCap's gainers of the day. What Happened: At the time of writing, DASH was trading at $43.11, finding support at $34.35.

Each cryptocurrency saw an increase in its trading volume, value, and overall market cap. On November 21, 2022, Litecoin announced the LTC cryptocurrency had been integrated into Moneygram, Google Cloud, and Blockbank.

Last week we saw Polkadot's native cryptocurrency DOT pull off its sharpest bullish pivot since July. It is thus unsurprising that analysts might expect or hope for another major rally especially after it recently retested its lower range.
