BNB outperforms ETH in this area, but where is the catch 

Binance Coin BNB outperformed the king of altcoins, Ethereum ETH, by a huge margin in terms of daily active addresses. As per CoinMarketCap, BNB's daily active users exceeded 815,000, while Ethereum and Polygon MATIC reached 344,000 and 277,000, respectively.

The Ethereum coin price has been stuck in a minor consolidation phase for the past three weeks, stretched from $1677 to $1500 levels. The coin currently trades at $1649 and continues to face rejection from the $1677 barrier.

Non-fungible token (NFT) sales rose slightly last week, increasing 1.23% to $232.49 million in recorded sales. The top two NFT collections, Otherdeed and Doodles, saw growth of 44% to 58% compared to the previous week. Ethereum continues to dominate the NFT industry, accounting for more than 81% of total sales last week with $188.

Binance Coin [BNB] posted its weekly metrics on 4 February, mentioning a few of the chain's notable statistics. As per the latest data, BNB's weekly transactions exceeded 17 million, while the daily average transaction remained at 2.87 million.

WhaleStats shows that Shiba Inu (CRYPTO: SHIB) is now the most traded crypto among the top 1000 Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) whales. It also holds the biggest token position by dollar value.

An Ethereum (ETH)-based non-fungible token (NFT) gaming project skyrocketed by more than 70% this week amid a flurry of new upgrades. The utility and governance token of Illuvium (ILV) surged to a weekly high of $105 from a low of $61.81 on January 29th. Illuvium is a project that aims to build open-world fantasy games.

Since 20 January, Ethereum has encountered resistance at $1,680. Even so, there is optimism that ETH will reach $1,800 or even higher by the end of February due to the ascending triangular pattern and improvements in investor mood in ETH derivatives.

Sberbank, Russia's largest bank, has announced it is going ahead with its plan to launch its decentralized finance (DeFi) platform on Ethereum.  According to the bank, there are plans to launch open trials for the platform as early as March 2023.
