Bitbay Drops Monero Orderbooks Because of Anonymity

European cryptocurrency exchange Bitbay recently announced that it would stop Monero (XMR) trading on its platform. The exchange said that it has to follow the standard practices in the market and added, Starting Friday, November 29, the exchange will stop accepting support for the privacy-focused coin.
Coincheck, a Japanese exchange, stopped trading three privacy-centric coins- Zcash, Monero, and Dash in early 2018. Governments often force exchanges to shun their coins because of their anonymity, which could be used by bad actors in the industry for money laundering or terrorism financing.
