MATIC didn't have to wait for Bitcoin to initiate a price rally and cause the USDT dominance to decline just to have a bullish momentum. In fact, according to tracking from Coingecko, the cryptocurrency managed to increase its value by 24.3% over the last 30 days – the same period where most digital currencies struggled to stay on the green zone.

MAtPolygon (MATIC), the Ethereum layer-2 protocol, is swimming in gains throughout October. The last seven days alone have seen the coin increase by over 12% and currently sits at a value of $0.941.

During recent weeks, when the prices of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other altcoins have struggled to hold their key Support levels, the price of Polygon (MATIC) has been one of the standout performers. The price of Polygon showed strength by holding above the region of $0.77 and is currently inching closer to $1.

MATIC has been bullish over the past two weeks, and saw a bullish market structure break on the 12-hour timeframe. The sweep of the range lows provided a positive reaction, and the next target was the $1.05 region.

MATIC's price shows strength as it bounces from a downtrend range price rallied to a high of $0.95 with eyes set on $1.  MATIC faces a major issue break and holds above 61.8% Fibonacci value and trends higher to a region of $1.

Polygon's MATIC is now ranked 11th in terms of market cap, with the altcoin having garnered a lot of interest due to its increasing number of collaborations. Despite its growing number of partnerships, however, interest in Polygon's dApps has remained flat.

After an extended period of weak momentum, Bitcoin has begun its upward movement. Following in its step, altcoins like Ethereum, Cardano, Solana, XRP, and BNB, among others, surged as well. However, not all assets are experiencing such positive price increases; a few are yet to claim their bull run.
