NewYorkCoin

NewYorkCoin (NYC) is a fast block-time cryptocurrency aimed at low-cost payments and remittance, charity donations, and crypto-education. NewYorkCoin was launched in 2014 by unknown developers. It is difficult to say what their true intentions were but the launch of the coin came in the same year New York announced a proposed regulatory framework for cryptocurrency businesses. The original developers of the coin disappeared shortly after its release.

The coin survived through the dedication of miners and in 2018 major development led to a hard fork to limit inflation. A new community formed around the coin and the currency was revitalized. Now, in 2021, a wrapped version of the coin has been launched on the Binance Smart Chain and more developments are on the way.
