XRP reaches range highs, can further gains be expected

Hackers keep trying new ways to loot money in crypto and fiat. This time, scammers hacked a Twitter account of the Indian Embassy in Oman to promote an XRP scam that requires users to click on a phishing link.

Payment company Ripple is expanding the use cases for its On Demand Liquidity (ODL) solution, according to a press release. The company will enable its partner I-Remit to improve its treasury funds flow and management.

The price of $XRP, the native token of the XRP Ledger, has surged after reports revealed that both Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are looking for a ruling in their long-running legal battle through a so-called summary judgment.

XRP's price has fallen this year, as has the price of many other cryptocurrencies. The large-cap coin has dropped 52.3% since the beginning of the year, mirroring the overall declines of the cryptocurrency market, which is not surprising given its position.

The US SEC is filing multiple lawsuits over digital assets and related firms in an attempt to extend its jurisdiction over the industry. However, long running Ripple lawsuit has grabbed every expert's eyeball, since both parties filed for Summary Judgment in the case.

Ripple has increased 20.6% over the last week. After more than 100 days, the bulls were able to close a candle over $0.40 on favorable news associated with the trial against the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Over the past three months, the weekly technical chart shows two swing lows bounced back from the $0.315 support. In addition, the W-shaped formation in the chart reveals the shape of a double bottom pattern.

Today Ripple price analysis shows that the price of Ripple (XRP) is up again as bullish momentum builds and inflates to $0.4042.Resistance for XRP/USD is present at $0.4215, while support for the Ripple coin is seen at $0.3774.
