LIGA launches tokenized prize pool for UEFA Champions League fans

LIGA, a blockchain platform powered by Waves built to tokenize big sporting events by creating unique cards for every team taking part in a competition, announced today the launch of a presale of tokens for the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League season. Tokens for all 32 teams participating in Europe’s foremost club football event will be on sale from today until December 11th.

During the main sale, the price will increase by $0.20 for every 1,000 tokens sold for each team – making tokens for the most popular teams more expensive. As is the case for all sports events tokenized by LIGA, during the UEFA Champions League, users can cash in not only by correctly predicting the winning team, but also by selling tokens at a profit when their value increases due to better-than-expected performance.
