Ethereum Falls Below This Key Level; Dogecoin Becomes Top Gainer

Prices for Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC), the most valued cryptocurrency in the world, remained stable above the $16,000 level on Friday. Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) traded slightly lower, falling below the key $1,200 level.

Crypto influencer David Gokhshtein has told his nearly 700,00 followers on Twitter that he expects Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and and Elon Musk to join forces to upgrade Dogecoin. The Dogecoin price, possibly triggered by Gokhshtein's speculation, saw a massive spike of more than 12% at one point in the aftermath.

Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency, must hold above a key price level before its price can potentially move over the $1,500 mark, according to a popular analyst. What happened: According to crypto trader Michaël van de Poppe, Ethereum's price must sustain above $1,150 if it is to surge to $1,330 and then $1,550 in the near future.

Ethereum (ETH) is falling as it corrects upward. The price of the largest altcoin is hovering between $1,071 and $1,350. The upward correction reached a high of $1,216 yesterday, but it was discarded again.

Much similar to Bitcoin, the Ethereum price also staged a notable recovery from the local lows of around $1150. The price climbed high beyond $1200 and managed to sustain above 100-day MA.

Today Dogecoin price analysis shows an upward trend for the day as the chances of a bullish recovery are increasing once again. Although the price dropped to a crucial level the previous day, today's market trend is turning in favor of the bulls.
